For the next 6 weeks at MUMC we will focus on our ministry areas in a Fall Stewardship Sermon Series called, "The Water Mark."
Each week we will explore one of our ministry areas - what differences are being made, lives being changed and the support needed to keep our ministries alive. We hope to inspire and educate our congregation and any visitors that we are doing our absolute best to be stewards of Jesus and bring positive change to our world. We will focus on Children, Youth, Discipleship, Pastoral Care, Outreach and Worship. We hope to see you in service these next 6 weeks as we make our mark.
Why does the world seems to be so much angrier these days? What does the Bible say on how we should respond? In this era of fake news and media outrage, with extreme rhetoric and irrational and immediate social response, how can Christians find a way to live and express their beliefs?
Come to the United Methodist Men's Conference where we will discuss this topics related to these and to the news in our current social and political climate.
The conference will be on November 10th from 8:30 to 1:00pm in the Loft and feature special guest speaker John Boel from WAVE 3 News. The cost this year will be $20 - expect great food from City BBQ and fantastic fellowship. You can register below or the day of the event at the door.
Registration will begin at 8:30am, the conference will get started at 8:45am, lunch at 11:15am and then there will be a panel discussion till around 1:00pm or 1:30pm.
This Sunday, October 7th, is the kick off to our Fall Stewardship Campaign Sermon Series. We will celebrate World Communion and the sacrament of baptism. We hope to see your smiling face in the pews!
