Crafting the Recipe for Success in Your Faith Journey.
We encourage each of our members to participate in a group of some sort. In this way, each of us can grow in God’s grace and experience what Christ intended for the Church – that it be filled with faithful disciples.
We believe that if you are connected in a small group and serving in a ministry area that you enjoy – then you have crafted the recipe for success in your faith journey.
All of our small groups, bible studies, etc. are open to non-members. All are welcome. If you are interested in any of our groups and want more information, let us know. We will put you in touch with the leader.
Sunday School (9:40am-10:50am)
Middletown UMC has an active adult Sunday School ministry, based on a model of fellowship, discipleship, and mission. In many ways, these classes are the heartbeat of our church. They study God’s Word, enjoy fellowship, and serve in missions together. Though we describe each class with the approximate ages of its members, you may see some flexibility in ages in some of our groups. All classes meet in the Tinnell Center at 9:45am on Sunday mornings. We encourage you to visit more than one group before deciding where you might stay.
All of our Sunday School classes are located in the Lower Level. If you need assistance finding a class just ask one of our greeters – they will be happy to assist!
Connection Groups
Connection Groups allow people with like interests to get together and enjoy their hobbies with Christian friends. Their efforts frequently benefit missions and service to the community.
Women’s Ministry
Women’s ministry is such a beautiful gift. It’s a place where women of all different backgrounds can come together for friendship and fellowship, and can be encouraged in their walk with the Lord.
Women’s Ministry is Jesus-centered. It’s all about helping other women to come to Christ and grow in Christ. It’s about encouraging people to understand the gospel, respond to the gospel and apply the gospel to every aspect of life. And that happens when women engage with God through his Word and prayer.

Women’s Bible Studies & Groups
Image Bible Study was created to give women the opportunity to study and serve together. The class spectrum ranges from women with years of Bible study experience all the way over to those who are just beginning. This is a time to go deeper into scripture and even have the opportunity to live out your faith through occasional service projects. Curriculum is diverse and made enjoyable through both large group and small group discussion.
Meeting on the fourth Monday of the months listed above, Branches Book Club gives women a time to gather for fellowship and discussion of Christian fiction and non-fiction works. Book authors are frequent guests so this is certainly an exciting group to be a part of!
