Sprouts Children’s Ministry is for kids from birth through 5th Grade and offers a variety of opportunities for kids and families to connect, grow, and serve together. We believe that children are not just the future of the church but are the church now, and that means it is vitally important to establish each child’s faith in a loving, caring, forgiving, Christian community.
Nursery & Cry Rooms
Nursery care is provided at our Middletown Campus for children ages 6 weeks through 2 years old, with trained staff who are ready to assist during our worship services and Sunday School. Speak to an usher, who can help you find the nursery (Room 104 – view map) and make sure your child is properly checked in and cared for while you worship. We’ll text you if we need you!
For those with children under 6 weeks or who do not wish to use the nursery, please feel welcome to bring your child(ren) to worship with you. For your convenience, there is a cry room located in the rear of our main sanctuary, with changing table, rocker, and toys, and there is a volume knob on the wall so you can continue to listen in on the service (view map). Ignite Worship attendees are invited to use the “Bride’s Room” along our main hallway, where there is also a speaker to allow you to listen to the sermon (view map). Please ask an usher if you need assistance.
Childcare is provided at our Eastwood Campus in our lower level children’s area for toddlers and children up to 3rd grade. Snacks are provided during the service, so please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions.
Sunday School
We have several opportunities for your children to grow in their faith during the Sunday School hour, which meets Sundays at our Middletown Campus from 9:40-10:40am. Please ask an usher or someone at the welcome desk if you need help finding a room. While your kids are attending their class, please check out our adult and youth classes for the rest of your family.

- K-2nd Grade meets upstairs in the classroom near the Sanctuary balcony entrance (view map)
- 3rd-5th Grade meets in the Chapel near the main lobby (view map)
Children’s Church
Preschool to 3rd Grade kids are invited to join us in the Chapel during our 11:00 services for Children’s Church (view map). Children are dismissed during our sanctuary and Ignite services and will walk with a leader to the Chapel, where you can pick them up immediately after worship.
At our Eastwood Campus, children are invited downstairs to the kids area before service starts. Of course, in all of our services, children are more than welcome to worship with their parents if they want.
Club 45
Club 45 is a group just for 4th and 5th Grade students looking for a fun way to connect. We meet monthly on Sunday afternoons during the school year, with different activities and themes planned each month. Wednesdays and Special Events
We have a host of other opportunities for kids and families to connect, including Wednesday night family dinners, children’s vocal and bell choirs, kids’ club, Vacation Bible School, and other special events throughout the year. Jennifer Gilcreast grew up in western PA near Pittsburgh. She graduated from Asbury University (piano performance) and Notre Dame (MM), playing the organ where she attended. She taught music in Jessamine and Bullitt counties, and teaches choir and music at Highlands Latin School. She has 4 children age 18-24. Hobbies include cookings, reading, and being in nature.
