After 42 years of full-time devotion to the ministries of Middletown UMC, Nancy Tinnell will be retiring from full-time service. After a brief time off, she will continue to serve in a part-time capacity beginning at the end of June. We want to celebrate Nancy and all she has meant to our church and community over these years!
On Sunday June 26th, we will have a single combined service (including our Ignite service) at our main campus at 11:00 in the sanctuary. After the service, join us for a reception to celebrate Nancy’s long-term ministry. Our Eastwood campus will worship at their regular time and be done in plenty of time to make it to the reception.
We encourage you to bless Nancy with some of your favorite memories in a greeting card that she can cherish from this event. We are also collecting contributions toward a love offering for Nancy. The gifts are not tax-deductible, and checks should be made to Nancy Tinnell directly (we cannot accept checks for Nancy made out to the church, nor can we accept online gifts for her at this time. Cash can be given in an envelope clearly marked for Nancy’s retirement). Gifts will be anonymously processed through the church and given to Nancy as a lump sum on the 26th. You can put your gifts in the offering plate on Sunday or mail them to the office, Attn: “Retirement Gift” at 11902 Old Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40243.
We looking forward to celebrating as a family in June!
