You are invited to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on Sunday, May 31st in a drive thru communion from 12:30pm – 2:00pm. You can watch Rev. Gary Gibson do the liturgy during the 8:30am worship service that is available on YouTube.
As a participant, you will enter the parking lot at the main entrance and then proceed toward the portico. There will be two stations one under the portico and one beside the portico. We will use the self-contained communion elements with the juice and wafer in a sealed package. We will have a gluten free option available.
We ask that no one will get out of their cars. You will pull up, we will hand you the communion elements on a plate and then have a short prayer for you. You can pull forward and open the communion packs or take them home with you.
We would ask that not everyone come right at 12:30pm but try to spread out over the hour and a half period. This is to reduce the chance of a major traffic jam.
Jennifer Gilcreast grew up in western PA near Pittsburgh. She graduated from Asbury University (piano performance) and Notre Dame (MM), playing the organ where she attended. She taught music in Jessamine and Bullitt counties, and teaches choir and music at Highlands Latin School. She has 4 children age 18-24. Hobbies include cookings, reading, and being in nature.
