This winter we will once again be collecting items to be given out to the Forgotten Louisville community. However, this year we are going to focus on January and February. Our team realized that last Christmas many other groups were giving out items but no one was around for them in the early months of the year. We would like to fill that gap.
The collection this year will go from mid-November to Christmas time and then be handed out during January and February. Our theme this time around is Warm Winter Wishes. We ask that when you are out Christmas shopping, you might consider picking up a few items and help provide for our communities marginalized population.
Items we are looking to collect:
- Hand and foot warmers
- Batteries (size AA and C)
- Propane (small green ones)
- Blankets/Sleeping bags
- Socks
- Gloves
- Hats
- Chapstick
- $10 (this denomination only) gift cards to McDonald’s
- Granola bars
- Used coats
