4th Saturday Hiking Group
Join us for a physically distanced and fun time outside for our 4th Saturday hiking group. Bring your family and friends for an opportunity to spend some time hiking around our wonderful Parkland’s parks while connecting with church family! This is will be a “no hiker left behind” group, so all activity levels are welcome. We may need to cancel if we’re looking at a particularly rainy or cold day, but our general motto will be, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes”.
You don’t need to sign up in advance, but if you are running late you may want to let pastor Trent know as we will head out as close to 10:00am as possible tlloyd@middletownumc.org or 260-602-6257.
Meeting dates and locations:
January 30th @ 10:00am – Beckley Creek Park: Meet at the egg law pavilion
(please note, not a 4th Saturday, but hoping it will be warmer a week later)
February 27th @ 10:00am – Pope Lick Park – Meet at the parking lot by the athletic fields
March 27th @ 10:00am – Turkey Run Park – Meet at the Silo center (please note, that this will be the hilliest of all the hikes)
April 24th @ 10:00am – Broad Run Park – Meet at the parking lot by the playground/sprayground.
Jennifer Gilcreast grew up in western PA near Pittsburgh. She graduated from Asbury University (piano performance) and Notre Dame (MM), playing the organ where she attended. She taught music in Jessamine and Bullitt counties, and teaches choir and music at Highlands Latin School. She has 4 children age 18-24. Hobbies include cookings, reading, and being in nature.
