Holy Week is a very sacred time of the year. This is a time to commemorate and remember the last week of Jesus’ life on this earth. These are the days that lead up to the celebration of Easter – a day in which we proclaim “He is Risen!”

It begins with Palm Sunday, which celebrates the day Jesus entered into Jerusalem as Savior and King. On Maundy Thursday, we reenact the Lord’s Last Supper, which He shared with His apostles on the night He was betrayed and arrested. The next day on Good Friday, the day of the crucifixion and death of our Lord, we hold a somber service to relive and respect the final moments of Jesus’ earthly life. The last day of Holy Week, Easter, we come together and celebrate the empty tomb, the ascension into heaven and our eternally forgiven sins.

We hope you will join us here at Middletown United Methodist Church for this very important time of year. Our schedule is listed above. If you have questions about any of our services, please reach out to us by phone or email.
