Worship on the Patio with Ignite – Launching this Sunday, June 21st at 10:00am!

Join us this Sunday for our first Worship on the Patio with the Ignite service at 10:00am! As we reopen the Ignite service for worship, we will start with worship on the patio just outside the Connection Center. This will be a fun, casual way to return to worship. It may be warm, so wear comfortable clothes – shorts, t-shirts, and sandals are encouraged. The service will be shorter than usual, probably 30-40 minutes, but will still have the energy that you’re used to in Ignite. If the weather looks bad, then we will worship in the Connection Center which is already set up and ready to go for socially distanced worship.

We will be following all the procedures outlined for the other worship services, so be sure to wear a mask, arrive early enough to get your temperature checked, use hand sanitizer, and remember, we won’t have any coffee or donuts at the church.

You can read our full guidelines here: https://www.middletownumc.org/guidelines-for-reopening/

Entrance Instructions: You will “Enter” by walking under the pedway between the buildings and having your temperature checked. You will then continue around the side of the building and walk back to the patio. We encourage folks not to go into the church building unless needing to use the restroom.

Seating: We’ll have patio chairs set up 6 feet apart in groups of 2. If you need more room for your family you can pull multiple groups of chairs together

We will celebrate Holy Communion at the end of the service. You will take a “to-go” communion cup as you leave which contains both bread and juice. You are invited to either find somewhere to gather with your household on site, take it in your car, or wait until you get home.

We will continue to livestream the service each week, so if you don’t feel comfortable worshipping in person, you can still connect in this way.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Grace + peace,

Trent Lloyd
