Roots Youth Ministry
Roots is a vibrant ministry where students in grades 6-12 are offered opportunities to experience grounding participation in church life. Our youth ministry reaches out to youth with the love of God and supports them as they explore ideas, values, and faith as part of their journey through middle and high school. We strive to provide a supportive community of both peers and adults to help students connect with Jesus and grow as a follower of Christ.

Sunday School
9:40am-10:40am (Meets in The Loft)
Roots Sunday School is an opportunity to dig into God’s word and grow in faith through Bible study. To grow a dynamic faith, teenagers must know God and His ways. They must understand what God expects of His people. And they must be able to see the world through the lens of God and His character. In a world increasingly opposed to the things of God, where can students go to find the necessary truths to cultivate a vibrant faith?
Amplify: Growing a Faith that Lasts, is a powerful study we are using this year to help them grow a dynamic faith. The study focuses on 17 core spiritual truths. During each of the three week segments our students are journeying through such important concepts as the Holy Spirit, worship, obedience, evangelism and prayer.
All of our Sunday School teachers strive to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing learning environment that promotes faith development. Our Sunday school hour begins in the Loft with gathering time which usually includes donuts. At 10 am, we migrate over to the conference room in administration wing for engaging discussion focused on the lesson. Friends are always welcome, so please include any weekend guests.
Roots Gathering
4:30pm-6:30pm (Meets in The Loft)
Sunday afternoons are Roots’ primary gathering time.
We meet during the school year from 4:30-6:30pm on Sundays. During these gatherings, students enjoy engaging in high-energy activities, hanging out, and not going physically or spiritually hungry. Snacks are a must, and so is biblically grounded teaching! Messages are followed by age-appropriate small groups led by caring and invested small-group leaders. Roots is about helping youth grow deeper in faith and learn to follow Jesus together. We strive to inspire 6th-12th grade youth to deepen their faith and build relationships as part of the body of Christ. The quickest way to learn about what we are doing at Roots is to sign up for our bi-weekly newsletter.
