Moses was rescued from the waters, grew up in luxury, then returned to his own people. He became a runaway in the wilderness until the burning bush caught his attention. His curiosity and exploration led to a great discovery.
Moses’ encounter with God through the burning bush enabled him to find his identity and fulfill God’s purpose for him. Moses experienced a revelation, a theophany, and a call. There is a flame within each of us, and just as Moses drew closer to the burning bush to investigate it, we should draw closer to the flame within us and allow God to speak. God is calling us to serve the kingdom. God wants us to turn our attention to something that requires our help. You are a burning bush. Can you own the flame within you and reveal God to others? Can we open our eyes to the needs around us and bring some holy ground to people and places who need to experience God’s love through us?
