Making Disciples In and Through Sport.
Ministry through sports means serving sport in the name of Jesus. We believe the purpose of sports is simple – having fun in an evangelical setting. We love to see lives impacted through the use of sports, recreation, and fitness ministries at our church. We are building bridges to the community for the purpose of leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our goal is to create opportunities for healthy living through physical activity and sport, develop character as well as the social and mental well being in people of all ages, and helping people see they have great potential and are created for a purpose of loving God who wants them to live life to the fullest.
Upward Sports started as a single church basketball league, and basketball has been the most popular sport ever since. We give players an opportunity to chart their own athletic journey through multiple levels of programming – all while being developed into total athletes mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially.
Our winter 2020 league is gearing up for action! The season will run every Saturday from January 11th through February 29th and is for kids K5 & 1st-2nd grade. The games will be in the morning and depending on the league size should be done by 1:00pm at the latest. We are also always looking for volunteers to help with our league. If you would like to volunteer to ref or keep score, please follow the link below. Registration will open on October 1st and close on November 14th. Early registration will end on October 31st. Early registration is $90 and after October 31st it is $100.

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. It includes both soccer training and teaching about character traits. Their coaches are all background checked and trained in developmentally appropriate teaching and coaching techniques.
Soccer Shots provides a broad range of options for families, targets age specific training, and also allows us as a church to come alongside and get to know parents and families during the training and games.
Our season typically runs from September to November with a FREE day taking place before the season starts to allow you to gauge if this program is for your child.
